Derek is a Certified Insurance Counselor and holds a Bachelor's Degree From Northern Arizona University in Business, and an MBA from Florida State University. Derek traveled extensively throughout Mexico and Latin America. Derek left Mexpro in 2016 to start his own insurance business, Gila Insurance Group, near his family in Safford, Arizona.
