What Makes Mexpro Mexico Homeowners Insurance Better than Others?

It's the best available on the market! Unlike many of our competitors, even those that represent Grupo Nacional Provincial (GNP), Mexpro created this product to be similar to U.S. and Canadian policies and easy to understand. All policy documents are translated into English. Claims adjusters and customer service personnel are bilingual. All to provide you the best product possible, and it can only be purchased through Mexpro.

Hurricane/Earthquake Coverage

You can purchase hydro meteorological coverage that protects against hurricanes, wind, flood, tidal wave, mudslide, etc., even if you don't have storm shutters installed. An option that isn't available with most other carriers.

Plus, with Mexpro's GNP Mexico homeowners program there is only a 10-day waiting period for hydro-meteorological coverage to become active. You also have the option to purchase earthquake and volcanic eruption coverage.

Deductible amounts for hurricane and earthquake coverages are calculated as a percentage of the total insured amount. Coinsurance, insured percentage share of loss, amounts are calculated as a percentage of the loss incurred.

Choose from deductibles of $500 to $20,000 USD. Loss of use, debris removal and liability are not subject to deductibles.

Maximum Coverage

GNP's standard maximum insurable limit is $2 million USD for the combined value of your primary dwelling and other structures replacement costs. Requests for higher limits of coverage are accepted, but must be submitted for review and require approval by the program's underwriters. If you'd like to submit a special request, please follow the instructions on our easy online form.

Over/Under Insuring

Be sure you understand the value of your home in Mexico before stating the property value on your quote request. Over-insuring can cause you to pay too much for your policy.

Under-insuring your home will cost you less in the short-term, however there is a coinsurance penalty in the event of a loss. If your home is underinsured, it could end up costing much more in the long run.
