The Big To-Do About Todos Santos
Well, if you answered no, then not too long ago, you and I were in the same sad, uninformed boat. Recently, I took a trip to La Paz in Baja, and while I was there I discovered Todos Santos, a hidden treasure of a little village that I haven’t stopped talking about since.
Located just about an hour or so outside of Los Cabos, Todos Santos is full of perfectly lovely galleries and craft shops, but what really struck me about the town was the way time seems to have—in large part—stood still for the better part of the last century and a half. Aside from the predictable stores hawking various tchotchkes, leather goods and artwork of dubious value, there is an air of authenticity about the place, which is particularly refreshing for folks who have only experienced Mexico through the lens of a resort.
