Mexpro just sent out a Newsletter and we wanted to share it with our blog followers in case you did not receive it.

If you’re driving to Mexico for the holidays, congratulations! You are sure to have memories that you can happily reflect on the rest of the winter.

Mexpro wants to make your Mexico holiday the best it can be. We love Mexico and we make it our mission to help you prepare for your trip, so things go smoothly at the border and for the rest of your time in Mexico. We have compiled our own Santa’s checklist for you to review before going to Mexico.

If you have all these things in order, you have a high likelihood of getting through the border and getting on to your destination and holiday fun as soon as possible.

1. Driver’s license and passport

2. Get a vehicle import permit--Or am I driving in the Free zone?

3. Get a vehicle permission letter (for financed vehicles)

4. Get Health Certificate for my pet

5. Mexico auto insurance (it's required)

6. Choose US/Mexico border crossing

7. Check border crossing wait times: leaving US, coming back to US

8. Get a map

Happy Travels and thank you for using for your Mexico Insurance needs.
