Rocky Point Restaurants: A Taste of Peñasco

"Our" Favorite Restaurants

  1. Sonoran Spa Grill: Find one of the tastiest filets in town at the Sonoran Grill. They also offer other favorites like sizzling chicken and beef Fajitas, grilled salmon and blackened flounder with shrimp. They only dessert served is the double rich chocolate cake. It is not to be missed! Indoor seating, a bar and outdoor seating are available. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Look for the owners John and Maxi.

  2. Coffee Haus: The Coffee Haus serves a European menu and offers some of the best pastries and sweets you will ever indulge in. You will have to get up early to get a seat at this breakfast and lunch joint, as it fills up quickly. The Coffee's Haus is located across from the Safe Marina, just after the large anchor. Go to their website to pick out your treats or get more information...www.coffeeshaus.com. Open Monday to Saturday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday 7:30 am to 2:00 pm.

  3. El Conchal: This delicious seafood restaurant has been in Puerto Peñasco since July, 7, 2002. Their menu includes shrimp, fish, bass, octopus, crab, tuna, scallops, oysters & clams in many different dishes, as well as traditional tostadas and tacos. A palapa-style setting, located in the central part of the city, next to Pollo Lucas.

  4. La Curva: La Curva is a family restaurant offering a fabulous deep fried beef and bean chimichanga. La Curva is located one-block north Benito Juaraz Blvd. Turn left at the pedestrian overpass (coming into town),and drive to the stop sign. Turn left again and drive about one-minute and La Curva will be on the right side of the road. Great strawberry margaritas too!

  5. Casa del Capitan: Know for it's spectacular sunset views of the Sea of Cortez, Casa del Capitan, looks over the Old Port and offers views of the entire town of Rocky Point—all the way to Cholla Bay. Most guests choose to sit outside and take in the views, but an indoor dining area is available. The menu includes many seafood and meat dishes, traditional Mexican cuisine, and a variety of appetizers and desserts. A full service bar offers excellent views of the ocean too.

  6. Chef Mickey’s Place:On Freemont Blvd., at Plaza del Sol, you will find one of the best restaurants in Rocky Point. Chef Mickey, his partner Abraham and his wife Mariana make a great team serving exceptional food and providing top-notch service. Chef Mickey hails from Las Vegas, where he was a gourmet chef for 14 years. Chef Mickey has lived in Rocky Point for 9 years. The flounder picotta is a highly recommended dish. Though the prices may be a little higher here, it is well worth it.

  7. Capone’s Pizza: Capone’s is Rocky Point’s locals bar. If you're looking for pizza like you enjoy in the U.S. come eat with the locals at Capone's. They also have great chicken wings and other side dishes. Ice cold beer and fantastic Bloody Mary’s. Come to Capone's for a good time and always to watch sporting events. Located on Sinaloa Ave., a few blocks south of Reggies 8/12.

  8. Brother’s Pizza: Brother's Pizza is located on No Reelección (the principal road leading to the Sandy Beach developments) at the corner of Constitution. Brother's offers wide selection of salads to classic pizzas. A vast menu, relaxing atmosphere and reasonable prices make this a great family restaurant.

  9. Tacos El Poblano: Stop by El Poblano taco stand if you desire incredible pork (“al pastor”) tacos. Located on the NE corner of the traffic light by the Baseball Stadium on the main road into town. Here you will find the best pork tacos in town with handmade tortillas. They are generally open from 6pm to 2am. A easy dinner or late night snack. Tell them your friends at RE/MAX sent you.
