San Felipe Sunrise"Our travel was a 2-day motorcycle trip with 21 people on 12 bikes (9 couples and 3 singles) that took us down the toll road from Tijuana to Ensenada and then across the peninsula on Mex 3 over to the Sea of Cortez and down to San Felipe. Our return on Sunday was back across to Enseñada and up the Enseñada road to Tecate. We had great weather, fantastic food, great scenery and a very enjoyable trip. Even though most of our group does not speak Spanish, we were not overly detained at the three military checkpoints we encountered on both days. Some of the young "Federales" at the more remote checkpoint on Mex 3 also had fun trying out some of their English on us for phrases they would need at the checkpoints. Did we have a good time? Absolutely! Would we do it again? You bet! I will say that having at least one member of the group fluent in Spanish was a definite plus."
