Laid Back in Zipolite, Mexico
Zipolite, in the state of Oaxaca, encompasses 1.2 miles of beach with cliffs on each end, one lone village street and no ATMs. Part of a stretch of beach that spans between Puerto Escondido to Huatulco, it is one of a series of small coastal towns that make up southern Oaxaca or the Oaxaca Riviera.
Discovered in the 60’s by a band of hippies, the town seems lost in time with no high-rise hotels and a sedated (by Cancun standards) nightlife.
