Festival de Ópera en la Calle (Tijuana Street Opera Festival)

Appearances by the Tijuana Opera Chorus, Tijuana Youth Symphony, Pendulo Cero dance company, various presentations, performers and visual artists. 19th-century Italian composer Guiseppe Verdi's grand opera will finish the night off. Guelaguetza or Los lunes del cerro (Mondays on the Hill) takes place on the last two Mondays of July. The event is an indigenous celebration where Gods dances were performed before the Gods in hopes of a bountiful harvest. Visitors come from all over the world to view the dancing that takes place during this event. The FERIA NACIONAL DEL MEZCAL generally takes place during this even also.
