I have questions about the application fields?

As you are completing our applications, if you have questions about what to enter in the field, click on the “?” button or "More Info" link to the right of each field. This will open a window with details regarding that particular field.

What if we have 2 registered owners?

Your Mexico insurance policy does not require that all of the owners or drivers of the vehicle be listed on the policy. One registered owner must be listed. Any driver with a valid non-Mexican driver's license, and the owner's permission to drive, will be covered as if their name were on the policy.

I have questions about what is covered or the differences between the various underwriters?

With the broad range of products we offer, your coverage may vary based on your individual insurance needs. For an example of your best coverage, please click here for an explanation of the GNP Deluxe Package. For a more detailed explanation of your specific coverage please click the "Explain" or “More Info” button on the quote results page.

I had trouble printing my policy and/or did not receive a confirmation email, how can I get my policy?

When you purchase from us, we email you the following items:

How do I know the insurance I am buying is from reputable companies?

We will answer all of your Mexican Auto Insurance questions. All of the carriers we represent have vast experience in the Mexico Tourist Auto business. In fact, our underwriters paid out over $ 20 million (US Dollars) in combined claims last year to US and Canadian Tourists who had accidents in Mexico. To review information on the specific underwriters, please click on the links to the underwriters websites located throughout our quote, buy and issue process. For more information look at our WHY BUY FROM US? webpage.

What is MexVisit?

MexVisit is our exclusive branded Travel Assistance product, Mexican insurance information not available from any other agent or underwriter. When you purchase coverage from us, you have the option to include MexVisit on every 6 month and daily rated policy….other distributors may sell for the same underwriters, but NONE match our level of coverage or service. To learn more about MexVisit, or any other coverage, please click on the "Explain" button on our Quote Results page for more Mexican auto insurance information.

What is the Fixed Deductible option?

One of the biggest complaints we have had over the years arises from the Mexican Insurance Industry’s use of percentage deductibles. Typically, our clients have had to absorb deductibles of 2% of the vehicle value for collision claims and 5% of the vehicle value for Theft claims.

Many US and Canadian lenders/leinholders/leasing companies now require that deductibles be fixed at $ 500 for collision and $ 1000 for theft. GMAC, for example, requires that you purchase our fixed deductible option combined with at least $100,000 in liability coverage. By choosing the fixed deductible option on our QUOTE REQUEST PAGE, you can be assured that you will not be surprised by unexpectedly large deductibles in the event of a loss.

What are the GNP Deluxe, ABA Plus, ACE Platinum and Z-Mart Packages?

Four of our underwriters, GNP, ABA/GMAC, ACE Seguros and Zurich, offer coverage package endorsements not available anywhere else in the Tourist Auto market. These packages offer coverages, for an additional price, that are not available from anyone else in the market. To learn more about these packages, please click on the "Explain" button on our quote results page or click here to see a comparison.

Why is the coverage I requested not available from certain underwriters?

Different underwriters have various rules and “appetites” for certain risks. To learn why coverage is not available from certain underwriters, please click on the “not available” corresponding to the underwriters quote on our QUOTE RESULTS PAGE.

What happens if we have an accident in Mexico? What do we do? How do we follow up?

If you have an accident in Mexico, immediately call the 01-800 number included in the claims instructions page which is part of your policy. Our adjusters will respond immediately to the scene and provide further instructions based on your specific situation.
